Just get on with it!!

I respect mr. ziglar's work. I also understand that a scathing review will NOT affect him in the slightest. He's in that position where it doesn't affect him anymore. However, I have to say that this book leans more toward the FRUSTRATING then anything. I'd more recommend Network Marketing for Dummies if you want info on actual TECHNIQUES right away!
That's what I was expecting when I purchased this book. I wanted to read HOW TOs and DO THIS and the basic phsychology beneath selling...FROM THE START! However, I'm stuck with repetitive one-liners and dragging anecdotes; most of which were covered in NM4 DUMMIES!
Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind a success story here and there; you'll find them in NM4 Dummies, but they are LABELED as such ("true stories")! If you don't want to read them, you don't have to! However, we aren't given that luxury in Secrets. Instead you have to "go fish" until you find something that really does it for you; or in my case, haven't already heard.
I understand that mr. ziglar has a wealth of knowledge in this field and I'm really interested in tapping into that knowledge, but it seems like getting through this book is as tough as "reaching the top" in marketing!
It would have really been more helpful if he'd have just provided us with our reason for buying instead of making us hunt for them.

This book is worth much more than I paid. Mr. Ziglag demonstrated his experience of selling as a salesman by telling stories. It is fun when I read this thick book, although it takes time (2 weeks) to complete this book. His experience was so exciting I am thinking of switching my career from high tech to sales. He is definitely the master of sales. Maybe he is right, the best career is in sales. From there, one can establish his own business and become rich.

If you are in sales you should buy this book. This should be the second book that you read. The first book that you should read is "How to win friends and influence people".
I have read this book and I have my new sales people read this book. Not only did I use the persuasion techniques for my job, but I used these techniques with my kids I rarely needed to discipline my kids.

If you absolutely NEED more "The Evil Within"

If you're looking for another tale that takes place in the world of THE EVIL WITHIN video game, then you'll probably be interested in this at first glance. Within these pages is a short tale with a definitive end that follows a separate group of people through this twisted world. They try to figure out the reason behind their strange circumstance, while running from horrific creatures.

Nothing in this story matters in the bigger picture, which is my primary complaint. The various villains and monsters from the game appear throughout the story, but serve only the same functions as in the game. The bloody spider girl chases someone down a long hallway, and the butcher takes after the survivors with a chainsaw. They're cheap cameos at best. It doesn't provide any further answers about the world itself, and is overall a pretty bland story about survival.

All of this wouldn't matter if the art were particularly notable, but it isn't. The human characters often look odd, with laughably big heads or eyes and unintentionally humorous facial expressions. Even the monsters don't receive the attention and detail they deserve, looking more like Saturday morning cartoon versions of themselves. The gore is nothing more than massive splashes of red ink - and if you're interested in this franchise, that's probably not what you're looking for.

So basically this was another cheap cash-in on a video game, claiming to be a prequel or tie-in, without actually using the world in which it's based in any meaningful way.

Very in-depth and detailed guide

I'm actually impressed of this guide as it was very detailed and it included illustrations and clear instructions. I have always wanted to learn Jiu-Jitsu but I actually have no knowledge of Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu. This is a great guide for beginners like me who are just getting to started and also to learn techniques without the need of having a teacher. It helps you build the basics and fundamentals of the techniques, training and methods. It also gives advice on how to execute the techniques properly and the proper attitude to succeed in jiu-jitsu training.

I had no idea that BJJ could be so easy to learn and fun!

I love watching people on TV use BJJ to kick the you know what out of their opponents. However, it looks so complicated. That is where this book really hits the spot. It shows you that it doesn't have to be so hard to learn if you just slow it down and move through the different steps slowly enough. It covers how you can find a school to learn the essential skills. It also tells you what you need to be to be a good learner. This book doesn't teach you everything you need, but it does teach you everything you need to know to get started!

About the Author

Elaine Liechti began studying shiatsu at the East West Centre in London in 1980. Having completed Kushi Institute Levels 1 and 2, she went on to study with leading teachers from the UK, US and Japan. Her most extensive training has been in Zen Shiatsu as taught by Pauline Sasaki. Elaine established a Shiatsu teaching programme in Glasgow in 1986 and has been a teacher at the Glasgow School of Shiatsu since then. She is the author of Health Essentials: Shiatsu and Complete Illustrated Guide to Shiatsu.

Vicky Smyth has been studying and practising shiatsu since 1989, and has taught at the Glasgow School of Shiatsu since 1996. She has studied advanced techniques with many inspiring and internationally respected teachers, notably Pauline Sasaki and Clifford Andrews. Vicky is also an artist, having gained an honours degree in Drawing and Painting from Edinburgh College of Art in 1986. Her watercolour paintings are regularly exhibited.
