As an engineer, I appreciate the logical and analytical approach to strategic planning that is presented. The book is concise yet very thorough and leads you through the entire process giving many examples and tools or exercises to use along the way. Proven Process for developing Strategic Planning with templates to guide you along the way

Dave has simplified what has been a very complex exercise for many. He is uniquely qualified based on his immense background in developing strategic plans for military organizations. However, he has broken the process of strategic planning down to very basic steps that both novices as well as the experienced can glean a wealth of actionable knowledge.
He has provided very practical templates that accompany the steps that simplify things even more. I find this book so valuable to get started with my new organization and I feel that it will apply to many others in the corporate, non-profit, and even military circles.
This will be the primary book I use for strategic planning because it has everything needed to get on top and stay on top of your organization.

Great Guide for Strategic Planning in The Business Environment of Continuous Change!

I'm a retired Army Officer with years of experience developing strategic plans and having them be a measurable guide to organizational campaign and operational plans, as well as, guide daily business process. David Mcclean provides an easy to follow template for simplifying a complex function. Once thought of as a long range business process, strategic planning is now required to adjust responsively and often to allow an organization to remain agile and adaptive in an business environment buffeted by continuous change. David recognizes this and the importance and guiding readers through the critical strategic planning requirement of continuously aligning the incentives of all stakeholders of a dynamic strategic plan. Great work!
